About Us

VidaMia is organized by Susanne and Alan Twigg.

We are passionate close-embrace tango dancers and travel frequently to other Encuentros in Europe and the United States.

Over the years we have organized a large number of local milongas in the north and south of the island. In addition, we have also been responsible for running tango holidays to Tenerife.

Together, we are also responsible for our No Te Apures Milonguero Week which takes place annually in January.

Our Vision

We both wanted to host an international close-embrace Encuentro in the Canary Islands.

It’s taken a couple of years for us to find the perfect location.

More than anything we love international events. It’s because of the energy. Something special happens when people from different cultures, different countries and speaking different languages come together.

This is what we want to achieve for VidaMia. We want experienced dancers to be excited about the prospect of coming to Tenerife in the depth of the winter to experience something truly memorable.

In addition, we want great music, 100% gender balance and a nicely flowing dance floor.

The first VidaMia took place in January 2020 and was a huge success. Every year it gets even better and now we are looking forward to our 5th Edition.

Above all, we want you to know that you can put your faith in us to deliver.
